I recently bought a 2001 f150 supercrew 4x4 and it does the 5 beeps 5 times when you start it up to indicate airbag problems. The airbag light on the dashboard did not come on at startup so I took apart the dashboard and replaced the bulb which was bad. The light still doesn't come on at start up and the beeping is still there. The next thing I was going to look at was the airbag diagnostic module but I cannot find it. The Haynes repair manual I have says it is behind the right kick panel. Which I am assuming is the panel next to the lower part of the passenger door under the glove box. I removed this and the airbag diagnostic module is not there. So I checked my friends 2001 and it isn't there in his either. Does anyone know where it is located. Also does the beeping come from the airbag diagnostic module itself? The beeping seems to come from under the steering wheel. Thanks for any help this beeping is driving me crazy.
