Reprogramming keyless entry

ok so, my 98 f150 came stock with keyless entry, i got drunk and broke the clicker off my key chain and lost it, my dad has a 03 f250 with keyless entry and had an extra clicker, can i reprogram it to work with my truck instead of his, instead of buying a new one for my truck??
and if so, how can i go about doing this?

its easy turn the ignition on and off repeated ly ( five times) until the locks lock and unlock then leave the key on and push the lock and unlock buttons on the remote
and it should be programed

Remote Keyless Entry programming 1998-2006+ F150

Whoa,
The method tom01mxz800 provided won't work for a '98 F150. If you don't have your owner manual handy (yes, it's in there), here's what you need to do:

1) Unlock the vehicle using the power door lock switch
2) Cycle key from OFF to RUN 8 times, keeping it in RUN the 8th time
3) The locks will Lock then Unlock
4) Press a button on first keyfob, locks will Lock then Unlock
5) Within 20 seconds, repeat Step 3 with each addt'l keyfob (they must all be programmed at the same time)
6) Turn key to OFF. Locks will cycle one last time.

With saying this, can one "clicker" be programmed to two different vehicles?

Yes, it can, but then if both cars are parked side by side, unlocking one would unlock both.

My million dollar invention is a Ford-compatible remote with two sets of buttons on it.... essentially two completely independent remotes in one key fob. If someone beat me to it, I already called dibbs on the royalties! :P

Yes you can program one remote to multiple vehicles... but a word of warning.

ONLY DO ONE !!!!!

I had both of my remotes programmed for both vehicles, every once in a while working in the yard I'd bump the panic, but only one vehicle would trip.

So there I am pushing the button "toggling" between vehicles, waiting for the neighbors to pop their head out of the door untill I got them in sinc and then shut down.

On the new one I only have ONE remote programmed for both vehicles... and a few more gray hairs to boot
