Solenoid

I'm hoping someone can help me out. My 2000 F150 was starting intermittingly, then stopped all together. First off, battery terminal was coroded, so I fixed that, and put on a new terminal for the negative post. Still not working. So I cleaned a bit of corosion off the starter terminals and put a new solinoid on for a whopping $15. She starts !! Now it won't again. I am at a loss of what to do before I take it to a mechanic. Any ideas ?

Thanks a lot,

Prob still corrosion. Try replacing cables ( putting on new ends is not always the best) pay attention to the cable to starter as they tend to corrode inside the casing for quite a ways up. Starting an engine that is warmed up taakes more power than a cold one so you might have hit upon the problem just not fixed it all the way
