Intrument Cluster w/tach upgrade

I have a 2002 4.2L 5spd and have the basic non-tach instrument panel. Now, if I were to buy a instrument cluster from ebay that has a tach from a similar 99-03 f150, would that be a simple installation(is the wiring for the tach there?). Would it need to be form another 4.2L, and how would I go about adjusting the odometer reading? I would rather this option than install a aftermarket tach.

Thanks in advance, joschmo86

Nevermind

After doing some more research I found out that the new to my truck instrument guage has to be programs thansk to PATS and then i will still still have to find a place to program the mileage since not all dealerships can. On top of that, I would have to make sure the truck the intrument guage is cong from is identical to mine (not v8 or auto, climate controlled), due to cetain things will be out of whack(haa). I will just add a tach on the left side of the dash. Thanks to anyone who read this...lol
