1997 cruise recall

1997 cruise recall

i had the wiring harnass for the cruise replaced under the recall. i thought that before it was replaced the word cruise lit up on the dash when it was powered on. now when i use the cruise i don't see anything. i dont really remember now if it lit up before. does anyone know? my trucks is a 1997 f150.

i don't remember seeing the word cruse on the dash in the work 97 f150 and in my 99 it definitely doesn't have it.

the harness was just an in-line fuse they added.

My 97 doesn't light up, but my dad's '00 F-250 does. Turn your key on without cranking it up and see if it comes on during the test.

Per Raoul, no Cruise indcator lamp in the instrument panel in your MY rig.
I had someone chasing through the dash to replace a bulb, when he pointed out... it ain't there .

I guess it was a late '99 MY addition to the instrument cluster, I did the same thing...my '01 has one, so the '98 must....WRONG !

Check your owners manual on page 32 for the cruise control directions...no instrument cluster indcator lamp, confirm on owners manual starting with page 7, no indcator lamp shown in the gauge cluster layout.
