digital odometer problem

I have a 2000 F150 and have been having a problem with the digital odometer. It will sporadically go blank at times and eventually come back on. Any ideas?

Thanks, Bob

digital odometer

Hey thanks ! After I submitted the first post I ran upon the post about the guy that found the problem. I pulled my dash cluster out today and sure enough the soldered post is cracked. I'll solder it in the morning and put it back in. Thanks for the information!

Bob

Same thing happens to me on my 06. I'd love to just fix it myself, but it's more satisfying to go down and force the dealer to fix it for free.
