12 volt Source For Gauges
Hey guys,
I am installing a couple of digital gauges in my 2005 Supercrew. Where is the best place to tap in some 12 volt power that comes on when the ignition is on? Anyone make a terminal or something that would plug into the fuse box (mini-fuses) and possible split to add an accessory? Seperate from the 12 volt power source, the gauges also have an option of connecting to the headlights for a 50% dimmer when the lights are on. Where could I find the wiring that goes to the headlights without tearing too much up?
Thank you,
Brian Hix

They are called add-a-taps for the size fuse holder used.
Look in your owners manuel at the inside fuse panel assignments.
Pick one that powers the PCM, fuel injectors etc.
Do it rught and there should be no problem.
Look at the thread on wiring gage lights, below.
