Question 99 both barke lights out - bulbs & fuses ok

All other light functions work ok - Head light, reverse, blinker, both turn indicators. Also the windshield wipers function properly although I had been experiencing the wiper making one switch when I used the turn indicators for a long time before the brake light problem happened.

Any advice will be appreciated. I cannot drive the truck in this condition (Most people these days don't know what a brake hand signal is).

Thanks
KAPA

If you are sure the bulbs and fuses are OK, you might want to check the brake light switch. It could be stuck or bad. I do not know exactly where on your truck it is but it should be at the top of the brake pedal arm and may be attached to the steering column. When you push the brake it should release the switch giving power to the brake lights. HTH

Re brake light

I found the switch, but cannot tell if it is stuck or not. I am just going to replace it and see if that fixes the problem. It is connected with the brake pede l arm to a shaft that goes through the firewall.

Thanks for the prompt reply.
