Automatic Cargo light

I'm trying to install the Cargo light thats advertised on this site. It says that I need to tap the black wire into a ground and the red into a fused 12 volt source. I don't want to have to run wire to the battery for a 12 volt source. To be honest, I don't know anything about the electrical system at all. I thought about tapping into the wiring in the tail light assembly but I don't know what wires to tap. I also saw the wiring harness for the trailer wiring, again, I don't know what wires to use. Can someone please assist me before I blow something up? Is there a better way of doing this?

If you only want the light to work when the parking lights are on, find the brown wire at the taillights. If you can ID the constant-power battery feed in the trailer connector, that would let it work at all times. This might help:
