Does your cruise work and/or do you have an airbag fault lamp?

Click the tan CV below & look in the Steering Column album. Sounds like your clock spring is starting to crack.

The cruise switches, horn, and airbag circuits all share parts of the clockspring. If all three functions are affected, it's very definitive that the clockspring is at issue. With only two functions affected, it's still a good possibility, just not as clearly defined.

When you were looking at those 80+ parts, did you notice that they're numbered? Did you scroll down to the caption & see the list of numbers followed by names & Ford PNs? Maybe just as far as "7 Air Bag Sliding Contact (Clock Spring) 14A664"? Or the next 2 photos which have "Clock Spring" in their filenames?
