so today i traded in my 98 reg cab v6 2wd for a 2001 extended cab5.4 4wd and the air bag light came on, it blinks twice then pauses then blinks 7 times then pauses, it will do this 3 times then stay on, is this a code or is it just to attract my attention, if its a code does anyone kno what it means

 

Kinda a common Ford code, the passenger side dash lite is out that indicates the airbag is off. Do a search for the info on repairing it with a bulb from Radio Shack.

 

once i fix the bulb will the light go off or does it have to be scaned and cleared like a check engine light

 

Should go off on its own after the repair is made.

 

fixed it, i put in the new bulb and now the airbag light is off
