I figured it out. So if what number do I need to be looking for? The F2TF 12A650-CC or the F2TZ 12A650-CC?

As I said above the F2TF 12A650-CC is the drawing number and the number found on ford parts and this is the number that just about all after market part places use (auto part stores, ebay & salvage yards).
The F2TZ 12A650-CC is the FORD part number and this is the number you use if you go into a FORD dealer and ask for the part.

Thanks. I figured it out. But one more question. When I am looking for this computer, do I need to look for the F2TF 12A650-CC or the F2TZ 12A650-CC?

Ok. Thnk you very much. I hope the computer fixes my problem. When you crank it, the fuel pumps kick on, then off like normal. But in the past two weeks, it cranks every now and again and runs fine, and sometimes you crank it and it runs, but has no power, but most recently it has not cranked, and the fuel pumps continue to run instead of shutting off after about a second like is normal. They keep running and the truck won't start

Just find one with the same program code on it.
I thought that you said you already found one with that program code on it.

I do not see how it could be the right one with that program code.
You said in post #5 that CB & CC both had the program code of A2Z2.

Then I would not get it then.
I would only buy one that has a program code of A2Z2 that would cover more than one part and drawing numbers.
Or one that has the drawing number of F2TF-12A650-CC or the Part Number of F2TZ-12A650-CC.

The one he has may work OK but then again it may not, it could be for an standard transmission and if you have and Auto your transmission would not shift. Also it could be for a 4.9 or a 5.0 engine.
You can get one from a salvage yard by getting one out of a truck with the same engine you have and also the same transmission and air induction system. It may not have the same numbers as yours but it should work OK.
It should be the same year or older a year or two also. Do not get one out of a 94 or newer as they have a different Ignition system.

The one that this guy has is out of a 1992 with a 351 and has A2Z1. Do you think it may work? It is only $30.00. It would be worth a try?

I do not know what transmission you have or he had.
If they both have the same transmission then yes it will work.
If his had a AOD/C6 and yours is a standard or the other way around then it will work.
If yours is an E4OD and his is a standard then your transmission will not shift or move the truck.
If yours is a standard (stick) and his is out of a E4OD then you will always have a Check Engine Light will be on and you will have codes.

Of course you have to take his word that is out of a 92 with a 351 and it works OK.

With a different program code it will have different look up tables for the fuel/air ratio at the same throttle/speed/air vol./temp if every thing else is the same and it is a year older so your MPG may go down a little.

To bad that FORD never put out a manual with all of the program codes and what the application was for (transmission, engine, ...).
And what that codes fuel/air tables was.

Mine is an automatic. I have asked if the one the gentleman has came out of an auto, but haven't received a reply. Here is a funny thing. I call the Ford dealer today and tell them the computer I need, and they tell me that it was discontinued in 06. They told me to check withAdvanced auto or Auto Zone. But then I asked the parts fellow about the CB and he sayed that the CC and the CB cancel each other out and are basically the same.

By the way when looking for this Computer on the net use F2TF-CC, they all leave that center base number out(12A650), they all have this number in them.
Example go here for the CB:
http://www.everdrive.com/skus/EC/328...-Brain-Box.htm

and here for the CC
http://www.everdrive.com/skus/EC/328...-Brain-Box.htm

Looks like it will work they are both for the E4OD transmission.
