Automatic lights.

I was wondering what all needs to be done in order to put automatic lights into a 2000 F150 that does not have auto lights. Is it more than just the switch? If so I can live with turning them on and off. But I was wondering if the wiring is the same?

This would have been a PITA to find with a search, so don't feel bad about not finding it. I only remember it from working on the topic back then.

Here are threads on the topic of adding the Autolamp to a truck ( not the kit Ford sells ).

Watch the section, this also covers DRLs, those parts you would not need

You can also list all the posts by savageyzf to see if there is any other info, but this thread has the PNs in it.

Back a few years ago when I was a lot more active on this site, this was my favorite mod to talk about

If you search for posts by me in the Electrical Systems category or with the word "autolamp" in them, you will find several good threads on the topic.

Here is one: https://www.f150online.com/forums/el...-question.html

Hope that helps and good luck with the easiest and most useful mod available
