I'm in the process of restoring a 1991 f 150 .Have been started it at least once a week with no problem i.however today when I turn the key it acted like it had dead battered so hookup the charger and turn the key all lights in power in cab went out . A few minutes later because I left key on the lights came back on.tested battery OK .tried one more time same thing happen but this time nothing came back it's all dead . I do not see a fusable link near the battery the positive cable runs directly to the solenoid . Haynes manual not much help . would appreciate any advice thanks

 

Clean your battery terminals, and make sure all both positive and negative connections are nice and snug. Sounds like a loose cable.
