Angry Truck Won't Start

I went out to my truck this morning to crank it and it tried to star but wouldn't
Ford roadside assitance is on the way.
it's acting like a dead battery, I hope that's all it is.

Unhappy

They just towed it away.
The guy who came out with the towtruck said he didn't have any jumper cables.
He also told me that the batteries in the 99s have had some problems
Damn, that's 2 repairs and I've only had the truck 6months
Needless to say, I'm pretty down on Ford right now.

That really blows 54regcab!

So, add to the list 'bad batteries' for the F-150? How nice.

Keep us posted as to what you find out!

I wouldn't put too much faith in any diagnosis by a tow truck driver that doesn't have jumper cables. You'd think that with all the people here, we'd have heard about a bad batch of anything.

Hope your on the road again soon.

As of tonite they haven't even looked at it yet.
I told them all it needed was a jump start.
The dealer is about 45mins away from me.
You would think they would have at least tried it when they got it to the dealership.

STILL haven't loked at it
Come on 2 days for a jump start that should have been done when the driver came out?
I'll bet they replace the battery even if the original wasn't bad just so when they submit the claim to Ford they won't look like a bunch of dumbazzes.
I'll bet it will be at least tommorow before they find the time to jump start it.
3 days with no truck,
If I would have known they were going to keep it for 3 days i would have drove to the parts store a mile down the street bought some jumper cables, and taken care of it myself.
And I still have to find a way to go get it when they finally get it fixed.
Just wait till Ford sends my thier little survey.

Wink

Yep I guessed it,
Bad battery.
Will pick it up tommorow.
He did however apoligize for taking so long so I might give them a little slack on the survey.
He said it took so long because they are short handed.
But it makes me wonder about the reliabilty of late model Fords that they are 2 days behind schedule.
BTW it took 2 days last time too.

So on your way home from the dealer, you are stopping to buy a set of jumper cables, right? I still can't get over the tow truck guy not having a set. Two days without your truck because the tow guy doesn't have the essential tools to do his job. I'd be really po'd.

Ben Satcher in Lexington.
I am pretty happy with them on the whole.
Much better than the Honda place.

True, Ben Satcher is one of the better dealers in Columbia. Bob Bennett isnt bad either, there service dept was pretty good on the whole. That was the dealer I bought my truck from.

Pulliam (spelling) was another good one in downtown Columbia. You have to set up an appointment in advance though because they get busy.
