Well this was going to be a plea for help but I figured out my problem. I had a problem with my interval wipers and it was tied to the 4x4 indicator light. In 2wd, my interval wipers didn't work; in 4wd High, my wipers worked fine and the "4x4 Low Range" light came on about half brightness. In 4wd Low, the wipers worked and the "4x4 Low Range" light lit normally. Also, the "Check Engine" light was illuminating every now and then.

It turned out to be a faultly Transfer Case Mode Switch. The problem was described in Service Bulletin Number: 971119. About $25 and 5 minutes worth of work later, the problem is gone.

I have to thank this site. Without it I wouldn't have found the government's Service Bulletin site to get me looking in the right direction for clues to the problem.

Just thought I'd post this in case anyone else has the same problem. If anyone needs more info, just let me know.
