First post need help, Knock sensor, upper manifold

I need to replace the knock sensor on my2010 f150 fx4 and want to know how difficult it is to remove the upper manifold to get to it.
I have purchased the haynes repair manual and it looks like a big task, but is alot cheaper than the $600 price tag the ford dealer wants to charge. I was wondering if anyone has done this before. I took to the dealer for the check engine light and this was the diagnoses, chewed up knock sensor from rats. The truck is running fine and the sensor is fairly cheap, so I was thinking of doing this myself.

Thanks for any advice

It's really not that big of an ordeal....

you've got the haynes manual to help you....remember to take pictures, mark where what goes, drawing diagrams helps also....

the rats usually chew up the wiring and not the sensor itself.

take a digital camera with you, before you take something off, snap a picture and it will help you "remember" how to put it back together if you get lost.
Also use snack sized ziplock bags, and put bolts in them as you take them out, and label them. Such as "engine cover bolts" or "intake bolts" or "throttle body" etc
