Angry Ketpad addition

Who knows the door handle part number for a 2001 f-150 Xlt in toredor red(spelling?) when adding the keypad.

My local dealers tell me there is only one handle code for all F-150's. I know there are two, one for keypad and one without
They do not seem to recognize XL1X-7822405 as a legit #
Also the lighting links do not give a color code for my color since they are not made in my color.

Handle for keypad

The part number for my black '02 SCrew XLT is XL1Z-7822405-BAH

I bought mine by calling www.fordpartsonline.com (1-800-549-2005) and told John what I wanted. He sent me exactly what I needed the first time. Total cost for the keypad, handle, & shipping - $106.06.

See attached picture of box label.

Question big question

I've been seeing people talk about removing the counter weights.... Why are they there if you need to remove them? I have a 2001 ext cab. Do i need to remove the weights and shave down the bracket? Please help me with this.

Thanks
Don

had a heck of a time with mine. had ford pull blue print's and they still say is only one part for all truck's. but they are diff. the door's are diff lenght. and window run hit's handle. seen one today for a screw that would not fit. but would fit my s'cab. not sure why they say only one part number when there are two diff part's. i did have to change counter weight. got tired of waitting for right part. good luck. not sure if expy is diff from f150's screw or s'cab.

Wino,

I looked up this part # for your truck(I work @ a dealer). They have a lot of diff part #'s not just 2. Sorry to tell you but, they don't make a toredor red handle for the key pad entry. I think you will have to order a diff color handle & paint it your color. Then put install the key pad.

I did this for my 02 SCrew & the # for a Exby worked for mine but my door is shorter than yours.
