Smile Power locks - now fixed! !!

F-150 SC. 1997 XLT. 4.6 Auto - used

I am trying to fix the busted (just vibrates) power lock on the passenger side. I removed the door skin today, located the actuator (I think), but I am at at a pause point. Questions:

Is the acutator attached to a bracket via a TOREX screw? Is it the mech at the bottom of the door?

How does the linkage from the actuator to the lock detach/attach?

How much will a new actuactor cost ? Any source other than dealer?

In removing the door I busted the stupid plastic "studs" - are these easy to replace and where can I find them. ( Ed - you would think that a truck would have easily visible screws or bolts rather than sissy hidden plastic crap)

Thanks in advance for any help and advice.

John

All working now - but what a finger/wrist twisting experience. I won't post details now, but send me an email if you want the gory details.
