Question BORLA Exhaust Systems

I'm running the XR-1 Stainless Racing Bullet Muffler. Great sound, but after 150 to 200+ miles they can be a little annoying. Thinking of changing over to FLOWMASTERS to quite it down. Need a little help from you FLOWMASTER owners. What series? 50 series or the Delta Flow 50 series.

Go with the 40 series, im glad i did. not to loud at all. at idle it sounds stock. I got the single in...dual out the side in front of the rear tire. I have 50k miles and never had any problems with tire or rim discoloration.

Thanks Darren Dude...My neighbor had the 40 series installed on his truck (350ci. @ 442hp engine) and hated it every since. His very loud in cab. Still his has a very difference sound and tone from mine. The Borla isn't loud, just a very heavy 400+ hp anonying sound at 70 mph inside the cab. Anything above 70 mph it okay. My wife thinks it great and disagrees with me changing them out.

The system is 3" piping one in and 2.5 duals out w/3"x14 tips.

I went with the borla cat back kit. The only then They shipped it to me with a regular cab pipe. So I called Borla and they are sending me a longer one. Is the tail pipes always tucked up higher on the aftermarket kits?

Cool

Tripled,
If you are going to use the 50 series, you must go with the delta. Do not let anybody convince you otherwise. I tried the regular 50 series and the drone inside the cabin drove me insane. I got lucky and had them replaced for the delta for free. Hopes this helps.
