Question the sound of one exhaust......

I'm curious, is the sound exiting a true dual exhaust setup supposed to be the same from both pipes? It seems to me that the sound is a little louder from one side than the other. This would also make sense since I didn't have an x pipe put on with my duals. However, I have also noticed that the pipes are on a slightly different angle, which might simply be making the sound a little different depending on where I stand?

any ideas?

I just had duals installed and don't notice any deviation in sound between either side. I also didn't have the x pipe installed and it is true duals. The only problem that I had was the shop that installed it left a pinhole in the exhaust near the cat. and when idling it sounded like a rice burner.
Sounds great after it was corrected.
