YES!!!!
Take a look at the exhaust maniflods. They are nothing but a long box. They offer no flow what so ever.
I've had a 72 and a 73 both with 360's. The headers were great. Be careful removing the top bolts. The can get rusted in and break off. Use 2 1/4" pipe at a minimun and keep bends at a min too. You also might run into problems with the starter. If I remember corectly, you have to take it off and put the header in place then reinstall it.

Properly tuned headers will make all engines perform better. They might cost more than your truck (just kidding LOL). They are alot more work than just a quick muffler install. FM 40's have a loud throaty sound. Good luck, nice to see some older trucks out there.
