Post Flomaster 2 chambers, or 3 chambers...whats the best?

I called some local muffler shops and for a v-6 they said to keep the stock 2.5 inch tubing and replace the muffler. Now they kept saying go with the 2 chamber because the truck has 4 catylic converters so there will be very little in cab drone. But everyone on the board is using a 3 chamber (40 series delta) of which they said doesn't change the sound a great deal because its a 6. So what dod you guys think?

I see why you may be confused. All of the flowmaster 50 series are 3 chamber mufflers. All of the Flowmaster 40 series, whether Delta Flow or not, are two chamber mufflers. You can keep your stock 2.5" tubing and replace the muffler with whatever you choose. The 40's will give you more sound and drone when compared to the 50's, so it's kind of a trade off.

Question

So what is the difference between the regular 40 and the Delta 40? The Summit catalog (pg 171, Jul-Aug edition) describes the Delta Flow Tecnology as having 3 internal baffles. Then when you look at the Delta 40 Series it states 2-chamber. A bit confusing, maybe I can't see the Forest for the Trees?

Anyway i went and got the 40 series delta put on today. I kept the stock tubing because the v-6 won't get enough back pressure through 3 in pipes. But I like the sound. The in cab isn't too bad either. 168 after for the muffler, install, chrome tip, and moving the exit pipe upwards 3 inches because of the body lift.
