A Flowmaster 40 series original SI/DO dumped underneath the bed of your truck!!! Some guys say it sounds boat-motorish and some guys like it... Since you have a 6 it won't sound really muscley like a V8.

If you want extreme... on another site a guy took off all the cats on his truck and ran flowmaster 40s.... it sounded awesome...

Question

Hey Melovidov21, why would you want to dump it under the bed? Is the $ saved worth not running it out the back with chrome megaphones? You would think the noise inside the cab would be too much to handle.....

I too am looking for a pretty loud exhaust, but I want the interior noise to be bearable.....

Hopefully you see this and answer me back......

In my opinion, I would never put dumps on MY truck simply because of what harmful effects exhuast gasses do to things. I certainly dont want the gases to rust out the underside of my bed which can certainly happen or have heavy amount of Carbon Monoxide in the cabin of my truck. Not me!
Fork out a few more bucks (very few) and get some tailpipes and some echo tips or megaphones. Youll like them more.!

just my .02

Well I recommended the dumps because the originator of the post wanted a REAL LOUD exhaust and dumping it underneath your truck would yield more volume that routing the tips out back or the side. You will have quite a bit of interior resonance with dumping it tho.

That's 1 good thing about living in sunny Florida, NO STATE INSPECTIONS !!!!!

I could take the cats off if I want. I didn't look to see if there is post cat O2 though........

It sounds like its gonna be a no cat, 40 series 1 to 2 out the back for me

I don't really see anything wrong with dumping exhaust... The undersides of our trucks are built quite durable and a "lil' bit of rust" would hardly do anything if it even formed from the exhaust. Green_98 I know we're all entitled to give opinions of our own but yer really making me feel like an a$$ by posting your comments like that and I'm a bit offended. My dad's old 88 had dumped exhaust since I was younger up until now and its just fine. And when I moved my exhaust to infront of my pass. rear tire I had exhaust come into my cab more frequently than I do with dumps.

Pros:
Deeper and Louder Exhaust
No tailpipes to crush/crimp/bend while offroading
Less piping = cheaper

Cons:
No Shiny Tips(s) to see
