Post Flowmaster Exhaust

I have decided to go with a Flowmaster Delta Flow 40 for my Screw 4X4, single inlet, single outlet using existing pipe. Can anyone that might have this tell me what part number this would be? The Flowmaster folks did not have any listings for a 2000 Screw.

You don't need a part number for your 2001 Screw...I have a 2001 S/C, and all you need is a FM 40 (Delta-Flow) 2 1/2" inlet / 2 1/2" outlet. Now, that leaves two more choices, do you want the inlet / outlet to be dead center with the rest of the muffler, or do you want them to be off-set? I went with centered, and it wasn't a problem, but they had to install the muffler tilted toward the driver's side. (Perfectly even with the existing exhaust though.) The off-set muffler may be easier to install, as the stock muffler is off-set as well. You wouldn't believe how heavy that stock muffler is!!! Have them install your FM right where they cut the stock one off, under the heat shield...then, they will need to add about 1 1/2' of extra stainless after the FM to make up for that long "bomb" they took off. I recommend going with the "regular" FM 40, because your going with the stock setup as I did. I even added a Gibson stainless 2 1/2" to 3 1/2" X 10" tip, and it still isn't loud enough, IMO, and I have the regular FM 40. Remember, your "fighting" 4 cats. Also, don't forget to add a stainless tip yourself to, finish things off right. Because I brought my own muffler, and tip...it only cost me $50 even at Mienike with the warrenty, and they even added the 1 1/2' of pipe, and 3 extra hangers. Pretty good deal eh? Sure beats the $375 I spent last time getting duals.

Here's my part number...for the centered inlet / outlet. (42540)

If you can tell me how the stock muffler is set up, (i.e. where the inlet is, and the outlet, in relation to the muffler itself) I can tell you the part number of your best choice. Or, you can check the FM site yourself.

Thanks guys. After hearing the Flowmaster compared to the Ravin I went with the Ravin Performance Exhaust. See other message for details.
