"Popping" Sound
This popping sound is driving me crazy. It's somewhere in the exhaust...probably near the manifolds. It begins within a few seconds after I start the truck, and it continues to "pop" well after the engine is shut off (as it cools down). It's loud. It's annoying. It just sounds "cheap".
Does your truck do this?

I had the same type of thing with mine. If it sounds like water being boiled off of hot metal, then your AC condenser drain line is dropping water on the hot heat shield above the exhaust. I had my dealer reroute the line. The other sound I had was like a baffle had come loose inside the muffler and it popped and crackled like crazy. I had the dealer replace the muffler and the noise went away for a short while. 600 miles later and it was back in the same place. I decided to live with it and it has diminished over time.
