Good question. What we do know is the stock cats & precats have alot of restriction in them. What I don't know is how much the aftermarket cats are opened up for better flow.I have heard of peope on this site putting high 2 flow cats on their truck and eliminating the precats.Apparently this does seem to help, but then you have to worry about emission tests and laws.If I ever put high flow cats on my truck it will be the last performance mod that I do becausing I am thinking that it isn't going to help that much.Hope this helps.
