Post mpg loss with exhaust mods?

I had a magnaflow single in dual out 2 1/2 inch pipes installed and am wondering if its my foot or the new exhaust system that is effecting my gas milage, evan though I haven't run through a full tank with it yet, my 1/4 tank readings seem lower. Any thoughts are welcome or comments are welcomed.

Winter fuel blends will produce lower fuel economy. I can't imagine the exhaust causing an increase in fuel usage. I have the same exact exhuast setup, Magnaflow si/do
and I have noticed a lot more power, smoother idle/acceleration, and a 1 mpg increase in fuel economy. I was getting about 15 mpg +- .5 combined city and highway driving. I now get about 16 mpg +- .5 combined city and highway driving.

Give the computer some time to adjust the fuel maps before making a judgement. It could take a couple tanks of fuel to notice the change.

yep, I have to agree.. I just installed a Ravin Z55 on my truck (just removed the stock muffler and replaced with the ravin)and have noticed a nice mpg increase. that needle seems to take a little longer to get to the bottom now.. I think the K&N had a little somethin' to do with it too.
Last time I checked it out.. I think I was @16.5 mpg or thereabouts..

if anything lighten up on that right foot a little =)

one more thing too.. I noticed that my first tank went down pretty quick too.. you have to give your chip about 300+ miles to adjust to the mod!

I haven't actually checked the mpg, but the first full tank or two did seem to go a little quicker But now see to be getting better gas milage.

Your definitely going to be alot harder on the throttle after the installation of the new parts to see the difference. I know I would be!
