Flowmaster Delta 50

Flowmaster Delta 50
I need some of your expert opinions. I'm thinking of replacing my stock muffler with a flowmaster Delta 50, leaving the stock pipes. My question is what kind of performance gain or sound quality will I achieve by doing this or am I just throwing money away? Any comments would be appreciated.

The FM Delta 50 muffler only change is not a waste of money and does increase performance. It flows approx. twice as much as the factory "garbage can". The Delta helps quiet interior resonance. This setup is not loud due to the cats cutting down on sound levels. This will require adding/fitting a bit of pipe and one hanger. The total cost of muffler and install will be approx. half the cost of a cat-back system. Good Luck !!

Robin,
I had a Flowmaster 50 series Deltaflow installed on my truck, and am very pleased with it. 2.5"inlet & 2.5"outlet. It was installed as a direct replacement, at a local muffler shop for $120. parts and labor. They added extra pipe, due to the shorter length of the Flowmaster. No loss in torque, noticeably louder and better sounding than stock. Feels and sounds faster to me. But definately not too loud, or annoying in the cab.
