I too have had Flows and Magnaflows. After changing over to Magnaflow, I would never ever put a Flow on any vehicle that I will ever own. The Magnaflow to me sounds alot better, has no drone, and the performance increase was INCREDIBLE over the Flow. That is my opinion take it how you want. Borla is very similar to Magnaflow, so you cant fo wrong if you choose either of there.

Thanks again, Richard. I've been hearing that some people like to switch gaskets, but I've also heard, from you and others that the factory JBA is just fine. I'll use the factory JBA gasket and some stage 8 locking bolts. Only $150 more to save!!!!

PS- Talked to Troyer and he has turned me on to Magnaflow. Might switch next summer.

Cool

HI!... mf150 : I didn't use the JBA gaskets. I bought the FORD MOTORSPORT 4.6/5.4 header gaskets. These are the best IMO. Never had a problem with them yet. As for bolts, I bought spiecal stainless steel metric bolts that were slightly longer than the JBA header bolts. Also got S/S washers and lock washers.

Hey Neal--

Just got off the phone with the Motorsport dude and he said that FoMoSpo doesn't make the gaskets for the 5.4...he only has them for the 4.6 Mustangs. Will this fit my manifold? He also suggested FelPro brand gaskets. Like I said above I'll prob. just end up going with the JBA gaskets.

Thanks Man!

Hi!... The 4.6 header gaskets are the same. Same head. I'll get you a PART# off of my package tomorrow.

Neal-

I'd appreciate that! Is the motorcraft header gasket superior to the JBA? I haven't seen either one.

Thanks!!!

Matt

Thumbs up

mf-150, I'm quite sure these guys would not steer you wrong, just wanted to share a personal experience. I had JBA shorties on a truck for approx. 100k miles with JBA gaskets and bolts. After I sold it to my cousin, he's put another 50k on it over 3-4 years. Gaskets have never been changed and the bolts only needed tightened once, about a week after install. Like I said, these guys are shooting straight, but the JBA are sufficient *if* you choose to use them.

Right on cplgunn!

I have actually decided to use the JBA header gaskets. I'm going to use what is provided with exception to the bolts. I'm goign to get some Stage 8 locking bolts so I will not have to retorque. A weeks from today, I will be the proud owner of some JBA's!!! Yeah!!!
