Post Difference between FM50 and FM50DF

Hi All:
I have a 2001 F150 SuperCrew w/ 5.4 4x4 Lariat. I am going to put Flowmasters on, but I'd like to know if anyone has heard the difference between the FM50 straight and with the Delta Flow ? I want the ESL, but I want to keep the ISL to a minimum.

Thanks,
Les

Cool

The Delta's take the drone out.Makes it quieter inside. When I bought my 50 series the guy at the performance shop told me flowmaster only sells the 50 series in delta.Don't know how true that is just what I was told.

You might consider a 40 series Delta Flow. It will have nice loud and clear external sound at WOT and solid rumble at idle but fairly quiet levels inside the cab.

I have a 50 series non-DF (SUV series) that came with the FORCE II kit, and there is a bit of interior resonance. Not much but it is there. It is rumbly but not obnoxious. I have talked to people who have done a 3"in/out 40 series DF thru a 3" tail pipe in the stock location and they are very happy.

Thumbs up

Hi All:

Thanks for the replies. I have looked at the specs and I think I will probably go with the FM 40's with Delta Flow. They shouldn't be too much louder inside, but much loader outside.

Les
