Go 40 if you want it louder at idle. If you plan to get an audio system, go for the 50. The 50's only loud when you want it to be (upon acceleration). The 50 sounds deep on my 4.6.

G luck.

I've got the 40 si/do on my screw and it's nice and loud from 1,000 to about 1,500 RPM. once you get to highway speeds and 2,000 RPM or better they quite right down. they have a real nice grawl if you jump into them.

As for the stereo. if my stock radio is on I really don't notice the exhaust sound at all and no i'm not talking about when it's cranked. just normal

go with the 40's you wont regret it.

40 Series

I agree...the 40 sounds nice and throaty at low RPM's and mellow at highway speeds.

I was told by the Exhaust tech that the sound from the regular series 50 and the Delta 40 are the same.

I have the Delta 50 three chamber, and it is plenty for me! If you want to save the extra $10. go for the 40 series. I just want the performance, not the sound. Then again, you can hear my truck a block or two away when I punch it!

I just got my true duals with the 40 series last week. Nicest thing about it is you ride with the windows down and you hear your pipes, get tired of it, roll them back up and you hear your music. It's not a problem for me to have my music where I can't hear the pipes.

What size piping did you decide on for your true duals?
Just curious how it affected you lowend torque.

Thanks

At first, my 50 series was quit-as-hell, but after a few weeks the bark became more pronounced. I just ripped on a newer Lexus tonight...of the line, too. The exhaust howled, and I was amazed with my newest mod.'s addition to my pick up. Just give the 50 a chance before you judge.

g-luck.

After they "break-in" you will hear a noticable difference.
Gad you're giving it a chance.
