im looking for something really loud for my new 03 supercrew w/the 5.4. i had the 40 series true duals on my 01 4.6 ext-cab and didnt think it was loud at all so im looking for suggestions on a really loud muffler.

 

Unless you had a Delta Flow 40 series Flowmaster, you can't get much louder with just a muffler change. You can try removing the muffler and put in a straight pipe to see if you like the sound. Cheap too!

ive thought about cutting out my back cats but im wondering how much louder it would be then my current catback straight pipes.

Also do you think that if i had the back cats cut out and true duals run into a set of cherry bombs, would it pass inspection?

 

it will as long as they dont check for that stuff in your state. i had a 97 dakota with the cats cut out and nobody ever checked for them here,but this the wonderful *** backwards state of louisiana where you get a ticket for no seatbelt but can ride a motorcycle with no helmet. go figure.

 

How much is the 10 series muffler only? I am imagining what my 302 would sound like with hooker headers, high comp. .30 over pistons, and a comp cam with that muffler....

 

alright got my exhaust done last weekend and im loving them! got the 40 series delta flow cat back. the dude said that if went true duals i would lose horse power b/c the new trucks arent designed to be like that.
