ravin or hearthrob

I have just bought a 2000 F-150 with the Ravin Z-33 exhaust system 3"in/dual 2.5 out. It is too loud for me. It has good sound but at 65-70 mph, it is a little loud. It has 3"- 24" long chrome tips that probably add to the problem. Ravin also has a Z-55 and a Z-77 system that are quieter. I am going to take my muffler off and put on a Z-77 (the quietest) and see if it is better.

Rravin tubes
promark;I have z-55s on my 97 F-150 4.6;These are the middle of the line. They have a nice deep rumble at idle to mid range.and get louder the more gas you give it. a little noise in cab at 1500 to 2000 rpm. But there internal design is such that they will last for years.Z-55 with 18 inch tips, real nice for sure...... Luck oldgray

Ravins
Dg-150; In answer to your quiston,I have the Ravin cat back sys.3inch in and 2.5 out.Si/Do on the muffler. This system seems to work good for me ,But I also have a set of JBAs on it.I have an airaid intake tube and togeather it run real good and sounds even better. I got the Ravins at Midas. The install was cheaper there than any where else and they welded on the tips.Thats so they didnt end on some crappy Chevy...Go to there web site and listen for yourself.THERE IS ALSO A DEALERS MAP..Good lUCK oldgray pS YOULL LOSE GAS MILAGE FOR A WHILE.THE REASON IS THEY SOUND SO GOOD YOULL BE BLASTING OFF FROM EVERY STOP...LOL
