calling experts

hey neal and yall other exhuast "dudes" i have a 97 5.4 and would i lose hp by putting 2 hi flow ss cats, 2 ss 4x9 mufflers/ and an x pipe. All ss stuff i priced all the stuff w/o the pipe for 311 roughly. so what'd that put me around money wise. i plan on putting and air force one intake and a chip. no headers to expensive i just dont want to lose hp ive heard with the true duals if not enuf back pressure u can lose but help me out guys / oh and sorry for the poor grammer and spelling. im finally getting to post lost my activation email so made a new junky account but im here so start blowing out answers if u can

no way you would lose hp on that 5.4 with that system. go for it, and keep us posted....

If you have true duals and all that Hi-flow stuff i bet you will loose alittle. Anymore automakers have the perfomance thing with the exhaust, jsut dont sound good. I put true duals on mine with the stock cats, and i know if I put Hiflow cats on it would kill my bottom end more.

he said x pipe... so it is a true dual system, but... doesnt have any of the negatives of a dual system without some sort of a crossover... hpipe systems make more power than non linked systems, and x pipes make more power than h pipes......

Opps , thought he said no x pipe. I still wouldnt have thought of that

If you do have and X pipe ure fine. Like horkn said
