exhaust on 4.6

Is there an exhaust system for the 4.6 v8 that sounds good. All of the ones I have heard seem to quiet for an aftermarket exhaust. Thanks bros

#430402 Flowmaster and end it out the back with 3 inch tips...give it about a month to break in and you'll be happy

cut your muffler out and have a Y pipe welded in with dual tailpipes and tips. Sounds great!

Cut the muffler off with a Sawzall, then weld a piece of pipe back in where the muffler was. That's what I did, and it's LOUD!

Sounds like good comments for loud so far. If you use a muffler, buy a shorter one than you normally might. The multi-cat set up quiets them all down. For mufflers, try a short, stainless steel, straight through design.

I had my factory system cut out and dual straights put on. I absolutely loved the sound, but after a year of not having much grunt down low, I went with Magnaflow's 15609 catback system. I miss the sound a bit, but I love the power. A great compromise is a Magnaflow 18" SS muffler. I've heard it on a 4.6, and it sounds great . . . pretty aggressive but not overly droning at cruise.
