Flowmaster Installed

Well I finally had my Magnaflow muffler cut out and had a Flowmaster installed as well as upgraded the tips from 3" to 3-1/2". The difference is unbelievable. The Flowmaster is much louder and sounds much better in my opinion. It was exactly what I was looking for. Also the interior noise isn't as bad as I had expected because I had an Escape with a Flowmaster on it and the interior noise was bad. Anyway, I am very pleased with the new exhaust and I would recommend it to anyone wishing to make their truck sound like a truck.

just curious, did you go with a 50 series muffler, or a super 40 series. I have a 50 catback on order and can swap the 50 out with a super 40 if desired for a extra $120

I just put on a SuperFlow today and was very pleased with
the result. I just replaced the stock muffler with the Flow
and left everything else as is. I plan on picking up a
tip later on...still shopping for it right now. As for the sound,
I gotta say it isn't loud at all, but that cool rumble when
you turn the ignition is sick. I love the sound.

Is there really any improvement in power with the muffler alone? I hear some say there is, but not sure if I belive them.. I guess the sound is worth the money alone

I haven't noticed any real improvement...maybe a little
more pep on takeoff, but that could be my imagination.
At any rate...it's nothing to write home about.

When I read the fourms about how bad the Flowmaster muffler is I stuck with them and they are the best with the sound and they hold up to pulling a trailer. The sound the same as the day I put them on. I ran the truck with no muffler on it and after the muffler was installed on it. I feel that it is mind over matter. You made a good choice.

Did you go with the Delta flow (Super 40)? I went with that on my 04 and it sounds good. Sometimes I wish it was just a little louder. It is hard to get the Fords real loud because of the 4 cats they have on them.

I couldn't imagine my Spintech system to be any louder, and I'm still using my stock cats.
