Glasspack on 94 F150?

I want a cheap way to make much truck loud, but legal in NJ...so i need my cats. Can i cut out the muffler and put a cherrybomb glasspack in its place?, and will this give me any power or noise? Or should i just run a straight pipe from the cats? does anyone know if this has been done and if it makes a difference?.....and also i hear if i put the glasspck on backwards i will get more rumble...is this true?...Thanks for the help

Originally had a single straight pipe (from the cats) with dual tail pipes on my '95 with a 302. Sounded pretty good, was real impressed with it. I just have small tips on my truck so it isn't obnoxiously loud. But with some decent size tips and a single straight you would be pretty decent sounding. I guess a straight pipe with a short glasspack wouldn't sound too bad either.

I want to replace the existing muffler with the exact length glasspack, will this long of a glasspack give my some sound or should i make adapters to run a shorter cherrybomb?

The exact length glass pack will give a moderate amount of sound compared to a factory muffler. You will get sound and power. If you want the loudest you can get, put the shorter one on. If you use some small, round, stainless-steel, race magnum mufflers, it will cost more, but you will get longer life and better sound.
