When I got the 04 factory muffler sitting in the garage and I’m looking at it and don’t see a hole, what exactly am I missing?

no hole = no hole.

What you're missing is that you are the only person in this thread talking about the new 2004 truck. Did you search out "muffler drain hole" here or on a general browser search?
