Dynomax Ultraflow 2004 F150

Was thinking of buying dynomax ultraflow 19387 for my 2004 f 150 4.6. I believe this is a single in, single twin out/ie. 2 tips together.Any advice on this particular system only?

The entire time that I've been a member here, I've only seen 2 members that ran the Dynomax Ultraflow. I'm one and I can't remember the other. You are not likely to get much feedback about using this muffler on the new 2004 F-150. I ran mine on a 2000 5.4, so I didn't respond since you asked specifically for your system only.

Thank's Max, are you happy with your system? Is your's SISO or SIDO or DIDO?What do you recommend ?I am not sure of the diameter of the Cat. Converter but I guess I shouldn't exceed whatever this diameter is for fear of torque loss in the lower RPM's?Thank's Max, Regards, Alan

i was lookin at this system also. Its a single 4in tip out the passenger side. What prices are u seeing for this system. Cheapest ive seen it is a few dollars above 400. I have ultraflow racemagnums on my grand national and it sounds awesome. People ask if its a v8.

I have seen as low as $315.00 plus tax at discount performance.I understand the ultraflow has great flow comparable to the Magnaflow, gibson, only it seems cheaper in price.

315 is a good price. Consider this though. That system isnt stainless as far as i know. 315-400 for something that isnt stainless isnt a cheaper price considering you can get magnaflow for 360-400 shipped to your door. I sent em off an email see if they offer a stainless option. I can only comment on how it performs on my grandnat, but it really woke the engine up vs what i had on there. The sound is great and i have TWO mufflers on it, not just one.

I had my Dynomax Ultraflow on a 2000 5.4. It was a 3" single in/single out. It was a custom, mandrel bent 3" system from the aftermarket Y-pipe back. I traded the truck for a Lightning last December. It was the best sounding muffler that I've ever heard on any F-150 and I've heard many. It was very throaty at certain rpms/loads. The idle and highway sound was moderate. It sounds like a Z-28 on steroids. I had it 4 years and got compliments regularly. The design is similar to a Magnaflow, but Dynomax has been around much longer and is owned by Tenneco, which is the largest manufacturer of exhaust systems worldwide. If you choose this muffler, MAKE CERTAIN THAT YOU BUY THE STAINLESS STEEL VERSION. Aluminized steel mufflers last about 2 years before they rot out from the inside out. Since the factory pipe is stainless steel, replacing it with mild steel cat-back piping is a step back. A muffler only replacement is a great option. A stainless steel cat-back or custom system is a more expensive, great option that can add a few more HP.

they emailed me back, bad news. If you want a stainless system dynomax doesnt make it. Granted our exhaust is crap 409 stainless but its still stainless. Only option is to go with a replacement muffler if u want stainless.
