I might have to question the sound it'll make. Most of the V6s that I've heard sound a lot like a chainsaw on steroids.

If you decide to give Hearn's a try, take 169 N to C'ville. At the intersection of 136th St N. & 169, look to the east (right) and you'll see the shop where they make the glasspacks.

I love the sound of my Magnaflow 2 chamber straight through. I went with single in dual out the back. I compare the sound to the Flowmaster 40 series. I get nothing but compliments.

There is one drawback. I don't race my truck. Just not interested in racing a truck. My exhaust sure does tease other truck owners into wanting to race.

When I get an itchin to race, I borrow my best friends vette. Nothin in town touches it.

I have sitting in the driveway a fairly stock '56 Custom Cab F-100 with headers, 20 inch glass packs and Borla tips that you can hear for six blocks if I get into it. Absolute pure music, if you like that sort of sound.
Bill thats awesome, nothing beats that old V-8 sound. Ive often wondered how my 4.6 would sound wiht a set of old school walkers or smitthys glasspacks would sound. My favorite is the old Ford flathead V-8's with glasspacks. What a unique sound. I cant wait till my dad lets me buy Fenton split headers and glasspacks for my 53, even though it does have a 216 inline 6, they still sound cool!

Ok back to the subject. I reccomend straight pipes if you want to turn heads.

Talking Loud muffler

I would suggest the Flowmaster HushpowerIIs, I had these dynoed with straight pipes and without and there was only a 2hp difference - awesome- and they are loud!!!

www.flowmastermufflers.com

These are Glass pack shape but they are not Glass packs will fit any space that will allow 20" length.

kikn loud'

what would be better a dual set up or the standard setup that is on the truck now just with the hushpower II in place of the stock muffler??

Well that might depend on what you define as better. True duals are usually the best way to go, good sound, good performance and good numbers. I have heard though that with duals some have gotten worse mpg. Not sure as to why though.
