Reset computer after exhaust install?
#16
Snow White and TColegrove-
I don't mean to confuse anyone about this computer reset issue. I was merely passing along the advise given to me by the Superchip distributor(Mike Troyer), and asserted by others on this list.
To completely clarify the issue, you may want to ask Mike directly about this over in the Computer Chips section of this board.

Its not that I am confused, its just that I never heard that advice before. It really doesn't matter now because I bought my exhaust 2 months before my chip and I reset the computer when I did that install.

When I had my exhaust done--Magna-Flow w/duals & chrome tips, I satarted out on a full tank of gas. Holy @#$%, it was like pouring gas down a toilet. Went to my friendly neighborhood gas station, disconnected battery--refilled tank & voila--mileage returned--about 18 mpg at that time. So, the moral of the story is this: Everytime you make a change, disconnect, because OBDII is a slow learner otherwise.
