Post Lightning w/o muffler

Good or Bad, I removed the muffler from my BOLT for racing.

I am thinking of putting on 2 pipes to replace the muffler and using the exhaust tips I have. Doing this I would also have an H pipe between the 2 pipes replacing the muffler. The cats do a moderate job of
controlling noise except on WOT. Not been stopped yet. Any advice from exhaust experts, I'm on a very limited budjet.

Hey dorgunr,

I plan to do the same exact thing, my muffler has come off 3 times, since February, and I like the noise. It makes the truck a real attention getter, especially at the casinos in vegas. What exactly does the H pipe do?
I plan on getting about 6 feet of 2.5" diameter or the correct width and bending the pipe myself, and putting a support between the pipes and going with that. The Lightning has a true dual exhaust system. I don't think it will mess up the computer, although thats what an exhaust guy told me. I did not notice anything different other than the fact that I couldn't hear my supercharger. I'll post pics if I get it done this week.
