You need to get the factory Y (or something very close) back on and you need to get rid of the glasspacks. I've had the exhaust done on my truck 5 times before we finally got it right and believe me, the glasspacks, although they sound good...suck! You need backpressure. These trucks don't have a 1966 289, the computer needs backpressure. You've lost all your torque and the only way to get it back is with a better muffler.

OK first of all I want to thank everyone for their advice and suggestions especially those I talked to on the phone. What I ended up doing was putting a crossover pipe in and replacing the glasspacks with a turbo type of mufflers. It is not nearly as loud but it is running at least as good as it was before if not better. Again, thanks for all the replies.
