Should I bother going from DO 2.5" to 2.25" ?
I have a Z33 Ravin Single 3" in, and Dual 2.5" NON-mandrel bent the Midas guy bent them himself, out. I did lose a bit of low end, I am wondering if I should bother going back and having him change the exits to dual 2.25" pipes? Wonder if you all think it will make any difference for me.
Thanks for helping!

Hi Elktagaz.
Believe it or not i just went yesterday to get a Ravin Z-55 SI/DO installed.
I also have the 3/ 2-2.5 configuration and from what i read on different sites ,i was expecting some low end torque loss.So I ask the guy at the Midas shop to reduce the exits to 2.25.He was not sure if it was a good idea but i was ready to assume the risk.(Which risk !).Actually i don't have the K/N FIPK and i can not say that there is a big difference in the hp/torque thing.More than that,i have only 105 miles on it.I guess It will probably get better with less restriction on the air admission and even better with a super chip. Those things are the next to come.
For now, the soud is music to me.
I'M not sure if the Z-33 are not enough "restrictive" but if you really want your low end torque back,it looks like you have to go SI/SO like Gibson does there system. May be the Z-77. I choose Ravin for the sound and i'll try to manage something to get the best of it.
Another thing! The Ravin on my truck is exiting before the rear wheel.(lightning style).i like that but i'm not sure about the effects.
So like they said: Just my 2 cents...
Take care!
