Hello all! I am wondering if anyone can tell the difference in between chrome plated steel with stainless steel? Is there a test you can preform to find out? Can i use the magnet test? If stick the magnet on the chrome plated steel it will stick, right???? and if I stick it on the stainless steel it will not stick. I don't know....help....

 

Not sure of how you can test. All I know is that I prefer stainless steel over the chrome plated. Stainless steel is by far the better product just because it is amlomst INDESTRUCTABLE. Chrome plated however, can chip and all that good stuff. This is all based on personal experience. As for the test, don't know but go with stainless steel.

 

stainless steel is heavier. chrome plating u can check just by lookin at it. see if u can see dipping marks around the edges. also stainless is rarely high polished.
