Magnaflow Purchase!

I just bought myself a Magnaflow 2.50" Inlet and dual 2.50" dual outlet muffler. Part number 14218. This place had a nice deal on them, $99.45 with free shipping! Just thought I would share the happiness. By the way, the site is hottexhaust.com

I hope you like yours better than I liked mine today, I drove it 1 mile and bought a cherry bomb, although I have a V-6 too. The cats are way too restrictive.

Cats are restrictive but I am going for something not so loud which is the opposite of you I am guessing. I used to have a 96 Mustang GT and had an offroad BBK h pipe and a set of 40 series flowmasters on it and it was LOUD. I'm going for something a little quiter due to all the highway driving I do.

Hey miles, how do you like the sound/performance on your new magnaflow muff?

I hear godspeeds complaint, but i am looking for a low drone/low cabin sound, deep sound when footed, but not too loud...

will that suit my tastes?

Get a 12158 magnaflow. This is a shorter/somewhat louder version of what Miles has. I love my exhaust. Keep in mind, on the highway there is no drone. Around town there is no drone. Stomp on the stupid pedal and you got a deep growl emitted from your tips.

ps did I mention: no loss of low end torque?

i tested back pressure of my 4 cats on my 03 at 5200rpms under load in second gear-each bank of cats produced less than 1.5 psi- they are quiet - NOT RESTRICTIVE!

thanks pstmn1. - I am after a SI/SO so i will get that equivalent. I am taking your advise and going with the medium , 18" body length. The stock muff on my truck is 24" body length, so i will increase the sound/flow a bit.

BTW
here is a link to the 12158 -
