Finally got my Flowmaster cat-back installed.....kind of....

Well after not having an exhuast on my truck for almost 3 weeks (ordered 97 system but my truck needed the 98 system) i finally got the right kit installed now. Its the Flowmaster Force II cat back system (FLO-17222). But for some reason 1 pipe is hitting the box (red circle), i'm not sure if it will hurt anything or not. And also if i have my spare tire in, the pipe will hit the spare tire where the blue circle is. Has anyone else with the exhuast kit run into this problem?? About the only thing i can think of is taking off the pipe on the left and trimming an inch or so off on the part that sticks into the exit port on the muffler and that might bring the pipe in far enough to get it away from the spare tire and the box...any other ideas??

will the spare tire being that close to the exhaust hurt it at all? will putting some exhaust insulation wrap around it protect the tire?

If the exhaust is atleast a 1/2" - 1" away from the tire you should be alright.
if anything less DEFINIATLY WRAP IT OR MODIFY IT!!!
