Need exhaust help, PLEASE

I had glass packs and new tips put on my truck and now I get this metallic bing sound after the exhaust heats up.It continues after I shut the engine off for 10-15 minutes so it sounds like something expanding ?
Could putting glass packs on cause the catalytc converters to overheat causing this annoying sound? Thanks in advance
.

We'll, bing, click click is the best I can describe it. I can hear it when i'm stopped with the windows down. It sounds like its coming from the passenger side by the cat's. Do cat's make this noise if they are going bad ?

It doesn't sound too abnormal to me. Your exhaust pipes heat up and expand when you run the truck, the harder you run it, the hotter it gets. When you shut it down, the metal contracts slightly and you get the little gremlins clinking away on the pipes and related hardware as it cools down.

The main thing that concerned me was that it did do this untill after the glasspacks were installed

I wouldnt worry about it
its probably just the metal and the fiberglass in the glasspack expanding and contracting, perfectly normal, laws of physics

i have true duals with glass packs... and had glass packs on my old truck... its the packing in the glass pack cooling and the glass pack itself cooling... no it will not cause any damage. my old gmc had 130k + when i sold it still on the org cat (prob going cause of age) but i had glass on them from 40k and up. it wont damage ur cat in anyway and if u think about it. it flows better then the stock muffler. so it heat were casuing bad cats all the stock mufflers would ruin them before a glass back.
