dual exaust interfer with trailer?

i was at the store today (pricing out a new exaust...) and the guy said that the dual exaust straight out the back could be a problem with my hitch or with towing my trailer. i wanted the duals to come out either side but there doesnt seem to be one like that on hottExhaust (which seems to be a great deal.)
so i thought i would settle for the ones offered there. but i dont really like the 2 out the same side so i was hoping the straight out the back ones would work
any experience with these and towing?

Take a look at the Magnaflow catback. I believe the dual rear exit model clears the spare tire and the hitch. If not both, I know it clears at least one of them.

I have a Magnaflow 15749 on my 2003, it's designed to work with the factory hitch and clears the spare tire. Search on "15749" on this site and you'll get quite a few threads and several pictures.

I've got Magnaflow 16614 on my 05 screw. It goes around the spare tire and under the hitch. There isn't any problem towing.

Look at Troyerperformance.com for the correct model number for your vehicle

I ordered the SI/DO cat back # 15749 and when installing it I made it a split rear exit myself, the tail pipes are 2 pieces, the first one goes over the axle the second one bends then goes out the rear so I cut the second one just before the bend and then put the tips on (there like 18' that came with it) and had what I wanted, looks great, hope that helps

Huh? The 15749 is a split rear exit system. What did you have to make? I'm missing something....Did you just cut it back so tips dump under the truck?

This can be done I did it :

the tail pipes are 2 pieces, the first one goes over the axle the second one bends then goes out the rear so I cut the second one just before the bend and then put the tips on

SKRWZ, Ur exhaust looks great. I am going put flowmaster and get the exhaust place to make the pipes for it, to match just like yours. What size are your pipes. What muffler you have on it. I tow a lot and don't want the stuff that comes out of the exhaust hitting the boat or trailer. So thats why I am going with side kick out like u have.

Hey 150Lariat2000,
Flowmaster has a Cat back Kit that exits dual side rear. Kit is #17226, about $320 from Summit Racing. This kit clears the 17" spare. Hope this helps.

Thanks, I think it looks good too, I got the Magna flow #15749 cat back kit on there they claim 2.5 in 3.0 out for the pipes but i measured the tali pipes they look more like 2.5 but the tips are 3.5 belive me I like the exaust man, I used to use flowmasters but I'm glad I got the Magnaflow sounds like a stong running motor tough but not too loud and when you put your foot in it it barks, an the reason why I did them out the side Is 1) looks 2) I tow lots as well 3) to me straight out the rear looks like a hillbilly truck to me
